Forest has been teaching and giving live clinics/ workshops on guitar and banjo for over 10 years. Before and during that time he has performed with many musicians including:

Forest has also worked with Nashville writers Jim Rushing, Randy Scruggs, Brouton, Gordon Payne, Pam Rose, Mary Ann Kennedy, Gene Dunlap, Kurt Howell, Don Morrell, Larry Boone & Paul Nelson (Sony Tree), Rebecca Lynn Howard, Richard Addrisi and worked with Nashville session musicians Randy Scruggs, David Hungate, Mark Casstevens, Bruce Bouton, Glenn Worf, Joe Osborn, Dave Osborn, Reggie Young, Weldon Myrick, Mike McAdams, Steve Logan, and DJ Fontana (Elvis drummer). Forest is featured in the book Working Musicians (Harper Entertainment, 2002) by Deems - Taylor Award Winner Bruce Pollock "Defining moments from the road, the studio and the stage!" and has written an Instructional DVD/Book published by Centerstream/ Hal Leonard titled Pedal Steel Licks for Guitar. He is also endorsed by E.M.G. Pickups, Seymour Duncan, S.I.T. Strings, G&L guitar, and Spin - Strap. Forest continues to work hard as a musician and is a highly respected member of the music community.
